How to alter download location once saved please (want to open Pdfs)?

Firstly, apologies if this is not in the correct section.

I have stupidly been ticking boxes and got mysel in a mess.

I have been trying to open pdf documents and clicked on the Always Save To This Location when downloading the Adobe Reader that was somehow missing in my program list. (It has now installed successfully).

I now cannot find a way to undo the option as it now wants to save Pdfs in Documents rather than open them for me to read properly. It carries straight on rather than showing me a box with options to Save, Open and so on.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Download Options

In FF, go to Options > General tab and change the Download settings.
In IE10, go to "View Downloads" > Options and change the Download settings.
You can press "Ctrl + J" to open "View Downloads".

Thankyou, I have done all as you so kindly suggested .... was a little perturbed I could not see any way to get IE to ask me every time.

I have eventually worked out (by doing a Google search for other pdf documents) that it is only that particular one that does that .... so all is well.

Thankyou so much for your help and hope 2015 proves to be a great year for you and yours :)

    Reset IE

If you haven't changed many settings in IE, you could reset it back to its default settings and that may re-enable the pop-up Download message .

Go to "Internet Options" > Advanced tab and click the Reset button.

    System Restore Point

You should create a System Restore Point before you reset IE!
