Click the little arrow next to the shutdown button. Sleep should be there.

You don't really need a separate button - and if your power configuration is set up the way you like it, you don't really need a sleep button.

Everything is exactly the same except the screen. The options for the power button are the same as mine, you can shut down the laptop, but it into sleep mode, or put it into hibernation mode with just a press of the power button.
Wasn't sure if this is the right category but I guess it's ultimately a question of hardware...
In case you don't want to read the whole background, my ultimate question is, Which power supply should I look to get to replace the dead one in the old unit?
