Computer fails to turn on display after going to sleep/turning it off

Hello. I've a computer with these specs:

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    CPU: AMD FX-8320
    Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
    Memory: 8 GB GeIL DRAGON 1600 (2x4GB)
    Graphics Card: Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X
Hard Drives: 1 TB Internal Seagate Barracuda, 1 TB Seagate External
    PSU: Corsair VS550 80+ Gold
    Case: Sentry GS-6000
    Coolin: DeepCool GAMMAXX 300
    WiFi adapter: D-Link DWA-510
    Monitor: Samsung BW2253+ LCD

All the latest drivers and Windows updates are installed. But, if I set the computer to turn off the display after a while/go to sleep, ad it stays in that state for a while (it works fine after a minute or two) it fails to turn on the display. i.e, the computer is working fine, e.g if you are playing music, it play fine, the display just won't turn on and the only way to fix it is to use the reset button. I read somewhere that turning off PCI-E power save might fix it, but it didn't.

    Anyway, thanks in advance.
