    Windows 10

I just checked online at the local office supply stores and they just list computers with Windows 8. If Windows 10 is available in a desk top, How come the stores do not have them?

Windows 10 is still in a pre-release preview/beta state with the consumer version not expected to hit the shelves until October.

Yep, that's why it's called Technical Preview.

If you want Windows 10, just download and install it, but put it in a virtual machine or on a second partition.

Do not wipe out windows 7 or 8 if that`s what you have installed now.

Who told you Windows 10 was available in a desktop ?

No one. I must have misread the threads on it. I was having a problem with Windows 7 and was considering upgrading but now I am going to wait and see what happens in October and the reviews.

What problem are you having on Windows 7?

I have a dual boot Windows 7 and 10 TP/ Windows 10 TP is usable but there are. of course, a number of problems , and it is a moving target, especially since MS seems to have some aggressive goals.

I started a thread in "Installation and Setup" section on the subject of 64 bit to 32 bit. Take a look at it. Unfortunately, the solution for my problem is to make a "Clean Install" and I just do not feel comfortable doing it. So right now my computer is running at 32 bit version whereas it used to be 64 bit. After the 32 bit version was installed is when my computer slowed down considerably. But that problem was caused because I did not have all the Windows updates installed yet. Now that most or all are installed, the 32 bit version is working ok.
So if I can get by with the 32 bit version, then I'll leave it at that and just keep the option open to make a clean install as others suggested. Time flies for me and who knows what October will bring when Windows 10 comes to the consumers and when Microsoft decides to end support for Windows 7. I believe Windows 10 will be a 64 bit version and that affects my decision not to get a computer repair shop to do the clean install. I use my computer for my fish keeping hobby, maintaining documents and for keeping abreast of the news. So I think I will be ok. Thanks.

    Hi,
Just know that in order to download a 64 bit version or upgrade to a 64 bit version you need to be using a 64 bit version of windows,
You managed to clean install a 32 bit version of 7 why not do it again with the correct 64 bit version :/
If you need help follow up on your other question for better details/ instructions
    Cheers

Did you defrag the hard drive at least 3 times yet ?

Run disk cleanup, defrag the drive and it will get faster.
