How to disable drag copy in windows 7?

yesterday I downloaded 7 files, but what happened is: i selected the 7 files & dragging the files to another folder (I am copying the files by dragging),
then suddenly my bro disturbed me, then I accidentally dragged in same folder, so files copied again in same folder,
so while deleting copied files i unfornutately deleted original file also with copied files,
so How to disable drag copy in windows 7?

Dragging files can result in failures like the one you have experienced. It is much better to use the Copy & Paste method as you will always have the original file should something go wrong. After Copying & Pasting you can then delete the original file.

To recover those files you may be able to use the Recovery feature in Windows. To access that open Control Panel & select Recovery & select one that was before this happened.

As far as I know you cannot disable the Drag feature in Windows, it's just best not to use it.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
I personally prefer to use right click dragging where confirmation is needed to continue and other options as well included is my personal favorite option which is Cancel :)
    Cheers.

They should be in the Recycle bin unless you emptied it.
