unable to open vista partition

    Ummm...you said you started the install from within Vista???
    That's doing an Upgrade install, you may only have the "Rollback" image of your old Vista install now and that's why it's not accessible.

    no i mounted the image from vista and installed on a second free partition now i can dual boot it but i cant open vista partition in windows 7 but able to open windows 7 partition in vista ... long story tried many things check my post you will get to know what i mean .

    tried that brink it didnt worked finally i have to do a clean install and windows vista and windows 7 with the dvd itself and it works good now ... guess i used the windows 7 iso image in vista to install windows 7 that caused the whole issue ... backed up my data but still lost quite a stuff though.
