Laptop will not boot up

    ? In your first post you stated "I was told that it was the Hard Drive, I hope not because that would be two in one week!!!" I took that to mean this is the second hard drive to fail in that PC.

    No only one!
    We also had an external drive with family pictures and videos fail this week, that is what I meant by two in one week.

    OK, what you originally said can easily be misinterpreted. If you have a desktop PC I'd slave that drive it and see if it is dead. If your external drive that died is in an enclosure that can be opened, you could use that instead of connecting the drive internally.
