With windows 7 I know the resources running and shutdown every thing but a command prompt to access any programs. What ever speed increases you see you can replicate them locally by learning how it works. Though I agree windows 10 is better over 8. Will stick to windows 7 though until the new hardware revolusition begins and they can't operate this type of code anymore on new hardware period as I don't need those additonal resources or functions. If it works without any lag, there is no need to change it.
That's what I meant when I said:
It's everyone's decision on what OS gets installed and operated on their machine.
Win7, Win8.1 and Win10 are all good Operating Systems.
Each one improves on the previous version.
There's more to the OS than the GUI, but that's what you see - if you don't like what you see, you won't use it

If you're happy with Win7, it is a good OS. Stick with what you know and like. I'm not trying to convince anyone to change ... but the free upgrade offer is something everyone should seriously consider.

That's all I was trying to say. The good thing is I think we found some common ground.

Just another toy that makes good demos - after weeks of preparations and tuning. Or do you really think you will ever get what they demo'd
It's said to be able to learn, so I should have already know or have asked my location and figured that in.

I meant Bing search, which is fine if that's what it wants to give me back an answer but I don't want to look at Bing myself. I want a reply based on my present location or a different one if I give that. If it can't do something that simple then it needs more work, or it needs to say it has to get to know me better and ask me initialization questions. Until then it's annoying.

It's like the speech recognition thing. It probably needs 10 years of learning before it can spell 'mama'.

Dual-Boot Win7/Win7 restore points - Any special considerations?
I see Win7/XP dual-boot can have restore points issues so have to ask about best practices for Win7/Win7. Since my drive is partitioned for Win7/Win7/Data is it simply a matter of setting restore points On/Off/Off while in respective OS's?
