I have my computer vacuum cleaned and started it up again. Disks are all back so I think i have a bad hard disk. How can I best check the disks for status?

Hi, sorry for the delay.

Test the hard drive and RAM, check for infection, test System Files, establish a Clean Boot, reboot. Then if necessary work through the other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 until you get a solution.

If you'll report back as you go other steps may be indicated.

Computer takes about 1.5 minutes to load the desktop + icons
Granted my computer's now 4-5 years old. I was wondering if anyone has an idea on this. I ran chkdsk, Malwarebytes, and Ccleaner. All were clear but the last, which fixed many things, but I still have the issue. I have minimal programs that run on start-up, so I highly doubt it's that. I...
