Programs and features runs the uninst.exe or similar. That is all it does.

If you want something more thorough, you could try soft4boost uninstaller ( free ). Doesn't run services or any other nonsense. Works well for me.They have now added skins , which pointlessly makes it a bit bigger, as these things go, it is still a reasonable size.

Windows 7 Professional x64

In the end I went with GeekUninstaller (the Pro version). It's similar to IObit but faster. Thanks everybody for your comments and thoughts.
