    Windows 7 user account disappeared.

First time posting here and any help is appreciated.

Lost power today while I was at work, when i got home and turned the computer on my user account was gone, in its place was a new user account I had never seen. After a few tries I guessed the password (01234567) and logged in. My old account no longer shows up under accounts, I checked to see if the account had been dissabled somehow. Tried a few methods I came across to recover a user and have been unsuccessful at finding any traces of my old profile. Anybody have an idea what might have happened or suggestions? I'm goin to pull out my Ubuntu live USB in a few minutes to see if I can recover any files manually.

Thank you for the suggestion, when I follow method One in the tutorial, I get the the accounts screen to hide/unhide accounts, but the old one is not there to unhide. Upon going through the registry there is also no signs of my account. Right now the system looks like one would if running it for the first time, only the account is setup already. Re downloading ubuntu on my other computer now as I lost my live USB drive. Hopefully I can force some information off of her once I get it downloaded.

Tried a system restore when I logged on the first time, all restore points are gone. Currently running sfc /scannow.
