Windows 7: I don't know if PC is 32bit or 64bit is there a way to find out?

Click Windows icon > R click Computer > Properties

Path should be similar for other versions of windows.

But he can`t get into windows to tell what his system is.

If he posts the exact make and model (as requested) we will tell him what the PC shipped with. Most likely Home Premium 64 Bit.

You can use Linux or Ubuntu on a flash drive to look at the hard drives on the pc.
