need help to recover my partitions

    Hello

Please help me recover my partitions
This is what I just do

I want to format my c: partition so I do the steps in formatting but I can't format the C: so I use cmd

    This is what I do
    1. Diskpart
    2.list volume
    3.selected volume for C:
    4.clean
    5.create partition primary
    6.then format it

After the format all other volumes got lost.
Can I still recover those partitions?
    Please help me
    Thanks

See if the free MiniTool Partition Wizard can help.

Help info on Partition Recovery Wizard of partition manager - Partition Wizard.

If you ran Clean command then you can undelete the partitions with Partition Wizard Recovery Wizard.

But if you also formatted it then the partitions are NOT recoverable and most likely neither is the data, although you can try Recuva - Features.

Why would you run Clean command on a hard drive and then reformat it if you didn't want to wipe the drive clean? Did you have any idea what you were doing, or think that maybe you should find out first?

Btw the error that i got on C: before was GPT something? Thanks for that info.

No, you cannot install the programs to recover partitions or data, these would need to be run from boot disk. But I have never been able to recover data once a partition has been formatted.

To not have data backed up at all times is risky, but to then go and wipe your hard drive when you have data on there is reckless. You will probably have to write it off and learn from this.

What you can do now though is follow these steps to Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which will help you get and keep a perfect install. You'll learn how to back everything up, how to install and set up the OS perfectly, what to use to keep the OS running best. If you'll stick with only those steps then you'll have a perfect install for as long as you do.

We were discussing how to recover partitions and data you wiped out when you ran Clean command and then formatted. I said nothing about installing these to Clean Install Windows 7.

If you get an error about GPT formatted partitions then you need to install to UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums.
