    How do I disable formating of any drive in Windows 7 using Registry?


    How do I disable formating of any drive in Windows 7 using Registry Editor only?

    I want to disable format option by only modifying the Registry only.

    Is that possible? If yes, how?

    It is possible to remove the Format drive option from the context menu. I don't know the details.
    As for preventing a drive from being formatted, I am quite sure that is not possible.
    Can you elaborate on exactly what you are trying to do?
