    error code 0x8000FFFF

Hello I just had something that looked like a BSOD with a code attached it happened so fast I did not have a chance to write it down. It happened just after windows 7 update then it was gone. How do I find it and upload it to the forum.

    Additional information is required.

    1. Download the DM Log Collector application to your desktop by clicking the link below

    DM Log Collector.exe

    2. Run it by double-clicking the icon on your desktop, and follow the prompts.
    3. Locate the .ZIP file that is created on your desktop, and upload it here in your next reply.

There is no evidence that the system has BSOD'ed. Perhaps there is something else you saw?

Check in C:\Windows\Minidump....are there any .dmp files present?

I tried doing another dm but it freezes at (Creating sysinfo file loading hotix information) when the screen goes black it will not let me do anything except doing a hard shutdown then when I push F10 upon startup it goes to safe start etc but it also showed the following 0x8000FFFF and 8c004663 when in the mode it wont let me do anything even take a snipshot as there is no bar showing.

    Q:

    1. Are there any .dmp files in C:\Windows\Minidump?
    2. Can you take a photo of the errors you are seeing?

C:\windows\minidump says folder empty. I will try and find some error codes and send them.

OK. From your description it doesn't sound like a BSOD.

    BSOD's typically look like this.
