Try running the sfc /scannow in safe mode

    » reboot your computer

» press f8 after the boot logo

    » select safemode with commandprompt

    » login as administrator

» keep hitting enter then when a command prompt appears.. enter sfc /scannow

Can you roll back or restore to an earlier point in time before you installed this latest stuff ?

I think doc means, can you get to system restore, or system image. As another thought can you reinstall your entire system. Do you have a Windows 7 CD? . For that matter do you have a CD from your prior OS? You can install, then install 7 over it. Your only problem at that point is that you have to reinstall all of your programs.
