Lenovo laptop running on Windows 7 will not start past Windows screen.

Hello. I have (in the past few months) been having issues starting my Lenovo G570 laptop, which runs on Windows 7 (unsure what bit), with AVG 2015 as its antivirus. It will turn on, and display the 'Starting Windows' screen. However, it will not load past this point, no matter how long I leave it.

Upon pressing the power button, the screen will read that there is an error and gives me two option: system repair or start normally. The system repair option then brings me to a page that will scan and prompt a restore - however, this restore does not work as it must completely reboot to complete the restore, which is not possible due to the fact that it sticks on the Starting Windows page.

Another option is the F8 menu. From this menu, I have tried most of the options with sufficient loading time to allow my laptop to process. Not a single one of the three safe mode options will boot, and stops loading at AVG's files (which leads me to believe it is my antivirus). I have also attempted repair system and last known config, both of which ultimately prompt a system restore. I have attempted numerous system restores at different dates, and none of them are successful. Starting today, I have also received errors stating that the restore can not be accomplished.

This is all of the information I have at the moment, but I will add on as I come across errors.
    Any advice would be lovely!

If it completed System Restore and rebooted, did you choose Start Windows Normally?

You'll need to access to a Win7 disk or System Repair Disk to work through the steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start without depending upon possibly corrupt OS files.

These steps try everything that can possibly be done leading up to rescuiing your files to do a perfect Clean Reinstall Windows 7

Does your Lenovo have the one button restore feature? If so, you should be able to restore the computer to the factory state by pressing that tiny button to the right of the power button after pressing the power button.
