    Cannot open files from within programs


    Problem suddenly occurred yesterday. I tried it with Powerpoint and AutoCAD.

    Launch a program.
    Go to File... Open

    I can see all the drives and folders but no files are listed in the window, even if I change the file types to all. Of course I can go to the physical folders via Windows and open the files.

    Something clearly broke but I am at a loss here. It is not a broken file association because nothing is listed.

    Hello I have the same os, have you tried a simple restore going back say 3 to 5 days to see if it will correct its self.
