    Who said it wouldn't work?

My point was that IF repeat IF you are buying a new hard drive for an ATX desktop, why would you buy a 2.5 inch 5400 rpm drive??? Your list of new parts included a 2.5 inch 5400 rpm drive. Why buy that rather than a 7200 rpm 3.5 inch drive specifically designed for desktops that is both cheaper and faster?

What's the answer to that question??

I know next to nothing about laptop drives other than that they are smaller and slower than desktop drives. That's all I need to know. If you want to use one in a desktop, I'd assume you'd need an adapter to mount it in a standard 3.5 inch drive bay.

You've got the right drive chosen now: WD Blue 1 TB 7200 rpm.

But---$70 is too high a price. It's for sale every day for about $55 at Newegg:

    Western Digital WD Blue Hard Drive 1TB WD10EZEX 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" | Internal Hard Drive - Newegg.com

    or Amazon:

Amazon.com: WD Blue 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200rpm Internal Hard Drive: Computers & Accessories

You've got an Apoptop brand SSD, 128 GB.

Absolutely the first time I ever heard of that brand. That alone would spook me.

Stick with known good brands: Samsung, Crucial, Intel. I'd personally choose a 128 GB Crucial MX 100 for around $65 right now, and maybe cheaper on sale. Or an Intel 530 for maybe $10 more.

    That looks pretty good.

The major components (motherboard, power supply, CPU, RAM, HDD, SSD) all look OK to me.

Others may have comments about the motherboard or video card. But you're looking good for an $1100 gaming build with no OS.

Can't help you at all on the wireless adapter or headphones.

Others might have an opinion about the necessity of a $28 gaming keyboard.

I just want to get a good looking keyboard + mouse cheap. I have already a copy of Windows 7 so i dont need that. My family is a WiFi-based family so i cant help it. I would love a ethernet but it is how it is. About the headphones i want a good looking headphone with mic and it is cheap.

P.S What good looking i mean gaming looking.

about PSU... wattage is one thing but there's also amperage on 12v rail to consider.
make sure it's enough for powerful video card especially if you plan to upgrade in the future.
i would recommend Corsair like mine (or similar if it's not avaialbe) which is HX750
HX Series HX750 Power Supply â
CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready - Newegg.com
i know, it's not cheap but powerful and solid with 62A on 12v rail.
