But if you're going to try to Dual Boot it then either use separate hard drives with only the target drive plugged in at time of each OS install, then booted via the BIOS; or install XP to its partition on a single HD first so that Win7 can configure a Dual Boot when it is installed second.
I tried to reinstall windows 7, it ain't working. It sticks at
"Windows expanding file 0%"
What to do?
Where did you get the Win7 disk? If you burned it yourself, how? What is the ISO disk source? Did you confirm the HASH as suggested in Step 1?
Are all other hard drives unplugged except the target hard drive? Is this hard drive known to be good? Test it if in doubt using maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.
Once you have a confirmed installer, work through steps to Troubleshoot Windows 7 Installation Failures - Windows 7 Help Forums reporting back results as you go.
The hard drive is the faulty hard drive I was saying about... I just tried again because thinking if there is a chance.

That can be expected from a bad drive. Replace it.
What determines with certainty and finality the condition of a hard drive is it's maker's HD Diagnostic
extended CD scan. So if you have further doubts you should run that to see what it says.

I meet people everyday and they tell various things.. That I have prob in my SATA+power cablewhich i fix to hard ddisk!
Its problem in my hard drive give it to be fixed, you must install windows again and see it might work. Bla bla bla...
So my mind isn't telling me to waste money for a new hard disk....
But if you prove me that my laptop will surely work if I replace the hard disk and install windows....
Earlier you ran the PC's built-in Diagnostics. It failed the hard drive. Those diagnostics would have failed the cables if they were at fault, but it failed the hard drive.
I told you how to confirm this further. Determine the hard drive maker by looking on the drive, run the specific maker's HD Diagnostics. This will confirm the PC Diagnostics or not.
I believe I've now suggested this three times. Instead of pleading for a different answer, why not just go ahead and confirm the test you've already done by running the maker's HD Diagnostic?
If your hard drive doesn't have a test or it won't run, then run Seagate Seatools which works for all models.
I have made you enough tired of this problem. Thnx to all you done. I guess its proved that my hard disk is at fault by the in built diagonistics.
At the moment I don't know how to use the HD diangonistic tool you have given above. And to use sea tools it asks to download it. How can I do it with a broken laptop???

What is the brand of the hard drive?
Do you have access to another PC where you can burn a new CD? Then you'd download the HD makers ISO image file and burn to CD with Windows Image Burner. We can help you do this if you ask.
