my documents folder redirection
not sure where this thread should belong so i will dump it here...HI ALL 1st post.
with our xp users we right click and redirect the location of their my documents folder to a network location. this can also be done by group policy that much i have figured out....but in xp there is an "easy" option when you right click the my docs folder to change the location.
in windows 7 the folder structure has changed considerably. i am unable to figure out how to do this redirection from the OS logged in as the user. i realize there is some mechanism for doing this using the Group Policy Object Editor and a folder redirection snap in. is there even a way to do this as i mentioned above? or am i stuck doing this via GP?
well happy windows7'ing - i am looking forward to the new OS and features. job security for sure
