Bad Block

I have a movie file (3.84GB) that I downloaded, and want to move it to a new location, but each time I try it fails. Apparently, it not because of something being wrong with the movie itself, because it works fine when playing. but the error dialog says that it can't read from the file or source. Other movies from the same drive and folder moved without any issues.

I ran an error scan with HD Tune, and discovered a damaged block on the HD that might correspond with the location of the file, but I'm not certain. If so, is there a way to save the movie? I know that there is a way to have the system repair the block, but I can't remember what it is...help!

No, I'm not interested in spending $89 to save one movie. But my greater concern is how to repair the bad block. I'm sure that Windows has the ability to do this, but I don't remember how?

You're not going to fix it but you could try

chkdsk /r X:

from an elevated command prompt. Change X to the partition/drive the movie is on.

Nobody was suggesting you purchase anything.

If you really want to repair the bad block, see post #2.
