Yes. If I shut it down from the desktop, and then boot it back up it beeps. Also, I am having issues installing updates.

Yes, I know. Now, what about the beep thing. On Acers, it stands for DRAM Refresh failure.

I looked it up my BIOS. I have an American Megatrends BIOS. For one beep for that BIOS, it means DRAM Refresh failure. I didn't mean to say Acer.
