    How do I change Downloads folder display format in Windows Explorer?


    Somehow, my Downloads file folder display format has changed to what you'd expect for music (see Explor1.jpg, attached), and I can't change it back, no matter what setting I select in the Change View dropdown. I used to be able to set it to anything in the dropdown, like "Details" (as in Xplor2.jpg). How can I unlock the format? Thanks.

    Changing it's folder template back to "General Items" should do the trick for you. :)

Hi all, I've got a little problem, my downloads folder ("C:\Users\Ethans PC\Downloads") randomly clears itself with files/folders in it. This problem occurs when the PC is on and also when it's off (cleared during shut down and boot). I'm not sure if the data is hidden or it's got to a "format"...

Is there any way to change the way video folder contents are displayed in the Windows 7 Media Centre? Displaying titles in a pattern of squares makes them very difficult to read - I'd like to display the folder content as a simple scrollable list of filenames. Can this be done?
