Taskbar time out of sync with Windows time?

My Win time is correct with my Atomic clock, but the taskbar time lags...-
I can update, it is then correct , but then loses about 2sec per day on the taskbar minute change?

I have tried a Repair install/ sfc scannow (no errors), but it is still the same?
Time... is Trusted by my ESS AV.
I have tried different time services, and they are the same.
    I replaced the CMOS battery.

Please before you reply to this- verify that your taskbar minute is changing at the same time as the win clock (click on the taskbar time/date...).

    Scott?

That is odd, I just turn around and compare my taskbar clock with my didgital clock plugged into the wall, and of course it`s always perfect.

Is your taskbar minute changing every 60 seconds like it`s supposed to ?

You`ve already done all the things you can check, so really not sure of the issue.

    ESS AV ? Please elaborate.

I personally wouldn't worry about 2 sec per day.
Both my system have the same problem compared with my Atomic clock. I set my computers with Windows.com time which might not match Atomic Clock time but it does match the time that counts for things like updates Windows.com time.

I agree with Layback Bear. Battery clocks, which is what the computer clock is, are just not that accurate, most of them either lose or gain slightly.

When I left click on the taskbar time, it shows the same as my Atomic clock, but the 60sec change lags... on my taskbar.

I did 3 things that helped somewhat (from MS community forum)-
    1. Started Time Service, and changed to Delayed Start/reboot.
    2. Changed Time synchronization to Daily, instead of Weekly Default.
    3. Next day Updated clock, by Right clicking on taskbar time...
