    Windows 7 not shipping...

Hello everyone. I have searched far and wide on the internet for a solution to this problem, but have yet to find anything. I know about the problems at Digital River with the downloadable student editions. I am more concerned with the Discs I paid $13 extra to have shipped to me.

I was supposed to receive a confirmation e-mail when they shipped. That was exactly two weeks ago, which to me means they still have not shipped. I have tried contacting Digital River (twice) by their customer support form, but have not had any luck with that.

I'm frustrated beyond belief and have no idea what to do. I guess I could just download the .ISO, but the problem with that is then I still lose $13.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do, other than wait some more and eventually give up?

When you ordered the DVD, you should have received a receipt, and hopefully on that receipt there was a contact email and/or phone number. Anything on your receipt?

Digitalriver certainly makes it difficult to contact them. I found a phone number you can try:

    (952) 253-1234

I found it here: Digital River / SWREG.org

Thank-you. The link you gave me to find my order just brings me to the same page as the reciept. I'll have to try the phone number.

I would download the .ISO and make a Win 7 DVD. Your 'back-up' for Win 7 would be the .ISO file and DVD.

Did you pay the $29 for the student up-grade plus another $13?

    Windows 7 Pre-order Information

Through the Digital River Windows 7 Offer, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade and Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade will be available for students to pre-order starting on September 17th, 2009.
Students who place a pre-order will receive an email on October 22nd, 2009 which will contain a link to access the download of their product. For those who purchased the Backup DVD, the disks will be shipped around this date and a separate shipping confirmation email will be sent confirming the shipment.
Once a pre-order has been placed, students may see a pre-authorization on their credit card records, this is not a charge, it will drop off in time according to their bank’s policy regarding pre-authorizations.

Students who place a pre-order will not be charged until their order is available for download, at that time the charge will appear as DRI*Windows7US on their credit card billing statement.
They may be waiting for you

I do not see how they are waiting for me from that. They have already charged my Visa bill for the $13 extra.

Also, I have to add that I live in Canada, so it was $39 + $13. I got a confirmation for the download, and it said "A confirmation for the discs will be sent shortly".

I'll just wait and see, and call the number next week.
