    Which version?

    Hello all,

Quick question here. I plan to buy Windows 7 but will only be using to for home use and only for gaming, etc. That said, which version would be best for me? I was considering Home premium. I would be buying the full version and not the upgrade. Any suggestions?

Get Professional version. Recommended for all purposes.

It of course is a matter of opinion, but I agree with you. Home Premium has most of the features that most users need. If you go to the Microsoft site, they have a chart that compares the features of the different versions. Take a look, I think you will see that choosing HP is the best way to go.

Home Premium meets the needs of about 95% of the worlds home population. You should be all set.

There are no performance differences. They just add features as you go up their ladder.

Very high odds you'll be plenty fine with Home Premium for home use and gaming.

And if you're installing on a machine where you already have a Windows OS, go with the less expensive upgrade version. Some people think you need the full version to do a clean install, and that's not the case.
