Can't find my userid under users in Windows Explorer

I have reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. After installation, I went out to the Windows Explorer to look for a folder under my userid but could not find my userid under the users folder. I have done quite a few installations and this is the first time I have run across this. I have used this install media on this laptop several times and have never had any problem before. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated. I should add that I can see My Documents, My Music, etc., and access data in these folders.

Have you tried to save anything to your Documents,Music,Pictures,Video folders?

Any errors messages pop up when trying to do so?

Did you create a custom system image from a HDD,Flash drive or DVD's or did you use recovery DVD's from your laptop manufacturer?

If you created a custom system image, did you change the default location of your users folder to another partition?
This will give you a better idea.
User Folders - Change Default Location

Follow these steps to determine the file path of your users folder:

1)Click on the start button and in the search field type "Computer" without the quotes.
2)Once selected, right click on the Documents folder and click properties. The documents folder will be under libraries in the Navigation Pane located on the left side of the window.
If the navigation pane isn't enabled please refer to this guide:
Navigation Pane - Turn On or Off

    3) Once you click Properties, look under library locations to determine the folder path of the "My Documents" folder.
    Example: My Documents(C:\Users\YourUserName)

I seemed to have overlooked your post and noticed your install media is on a partition on your HDD.

In any event, did you have any luck on determining your user ID?

If so, please mark as solved.

    Thanks

Look under C:\Windows.old\Users, see if it's there?
