Windows 7 hidden file types?

Hey Guys,

I am having a slight issue while backing up a drive using freefilesync. When it completes it matches the file size when right clicking properties which is 1.43TB.. The folder count also matches up but the file type is off.

I think i have it figured out and that FFS will not copy over hidden files such as .ini and .db which I believe are not needed anyway but I want to make sure the amount of missing files matches up so far .INI and .DB make up for a good chunk of them but not all of them..

What are some other filetypes that may be hidden that I can search for ?

Linux Lite 3.2 x64; Windows 7, 8.1

I use sync to back up user files, and a backup prog to do backups. Generally I used aomei's backupper with very good results, and it's free.

Windows Search on different file types
I'm looking for the best way to have the option of searching all files that I specify, regardless of indexing or file extension or anything, for file contents. I know this will be slow - that's fine. I understand the indexing, limited extensions, etc... are all meant to speed up the search, which...
