I would cancel the eBay purchase as it is most likely bogus as so many are we have seen here since Win7 release. Only if you used PayPal will the purchase be secured for as long as their terms allow, and I would immediately run the Product Key by MS Customer Service upon receipt to get it as official as possible that it's legit, even though that itself will not be final as the key might later be voided if it is MSDN or other type of abuse or counterfeit.

Otherwise if it loses activation after the PayPal warranty deadline, the only assurance is that MS still has a program where if you cooperate with a piracy investigation you can earn a free copy, which another of our members just achieved a few months back.

All I have heard for several years now is MS is allowing OEM to be reactivated on different hardware. You'd think if this was risky that we'd have heard back from at least one person who was denied moving to another mobo.
