    HP P6210f won"t finish anything

I need Help, i have tried everything i can think of(which aint much)
pc won"t finish anything. it hangs. i start startup repair, it goes part ways and stops.
it won'T START IN SAFE MODE.
AVG rescue disk starts then hangs.
no matter what i try it hangs, it just goes so far and stops.
i have run test on harddrive, memory, and processor, everything passed.

Hello and welcome bdysert mate some system specs would be good for starters.

Now can you get into safe mode?? if you can please run these
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check - use Option 2 and if needed the /f and /r switches
if they come up with no issues then read though this
Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot

Lastly if you are using AVG (am not a fan at all) please disable it if not uninstall it. I wouldn't be trying to use that AVG disk either.

Sorry late reply mate now you said you had run a test on the memory can you let us know which memory test you ran because we only advise this test.

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+
By the way it says at least 8 passes and it has to be just that otherwise you are wasting your time

sorry for late response, hp has a diagnostic test at boot up, pc doctor. i am getting ready to run your test. i am leaning towards something on the motherboard or the motherboard itself. I have a extra harddrive and tried to install windows and even linux mint 11, but it goes so far and stops. I will give update on ram test as soon as it is done. thanks for your help.

Ok mate don't worry about late replies - let's see what the memtest comes up as and just remember 8 passes unless the errors come up quickly

To give you an idea of what to look for see pics.

PS Meant to add yes it could be a mobo issue too in that the RAM slots might be going south.

it made 11 pass's with no error's. right now i am going to try to update the bios to 5.22 maybe that will help. but haveing trouble. tried all methods to upadate with USB, but it keeps telling me it can't run in DOS.
most of the procedures talk about a .bin file, the bios update doesn't have a .bin file.

    Ucorevxd.vxd- Virtual device drive

Well I am having greta difficulty in finding the BIOS or any driver for that board HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Customer Support it states that support for any HP product after ten years will not be there - typical and I am guessing it might be impossible to get it.

If you bring up this page HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Customer Support and let it self detect your product you may just get lucky. To update the BIOS too you should not need a stick and just be careful what you install because changing the BIOS fraught with the risk of wrecking the BIOS chip. I do see there are jumpers that can reset the BIOS to the default but that means changing the settings all over again if they were set differently to the default (customised).
