How do I install IE9 in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and need to install IE9, so I can use an old version of Sharepoint. Everytime I download the free version of IE9 for Windows 7 64-bit, it gives me a message saying that it is the wrong version of IE Installer. The version of setup doesn't support my Windows system type (32-bit/64-bit). I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser, and do not use IE. However, I need to install IE9, so I can use an older version of Sharepoint, for work-related reasons. Please help me resolve this issue. Thanks.

I assume you have IE11 now. Have you tried to uninstall that. When I did that, the IE9 came back.

I`m not sure that windows will let you install IE 9 anymore, it`s jumps right over to 11.

What version of IE do you have installed now? Windows does not support multiple versions of IE installed at the same time.

Edit: You cannot downgrade IE by installing an older version. Uninstalling IE will revert to the previous version if IE had been upgraded.
