Make a Partition Wizard boot CD to format it, or if you have a Windows disc, just use that to format it.

Do something without windows? like, clean hard drive, no operating system? if thats the case, i have read things about a program called DBAN. download it and burn it to a CD or boot from a flash drive.. do a little research on it. if you have another computer then plug that hard drive into the computer you want to keep and wipe the uneeded drive from inside of windows. make sure the SATA/PATA controller is active for both drives inside of your BIOS (mostly for old computers)or like what addRAM said, boot from a windows disk and use CMD to format the disk.

Yep, hooking it up to another PC is the fastest way to format it.

If you feel comfortable doing that. It`ll take you 5 minutes :)

If you`re not gonna use it now, then just format it when you`re ready to use it.

You`ll have to use either the PW Boot CD or the Windows install DVD.

You`ve been givin 4 ways to format it :)
