Thanks for that I will remember that in the future. My monitor stopped working this morning on Windows 7. Seemed to be a driver issue. I had the action centre thing and there was a couple of other issues. In the end I have just put a Vista x64 backup that I had from a few days ago. I think I will leave it a while before putting Windows 7 back on. Thanks to all for there help.

I have Avira free anti-virus; version on a WIN 7 HP PC. The strange thing is the windows action centre tells me my anti-virus reports that it is turned off. However, when I address the Avira GUI the package states web protection and realtime protection are both active. Has anyone else...

Hi all, I am always getting a message from the Action centre...."Windows security centre is turned off". I turn it on but at next boot, same message. I have "User access control" and "Network access protection" turned off. Is this the reason I am getting this annoying popup and is there any way...
