Cannot "save to" desktop or Recent places folders

    Cannot "save to" desktop or Recent places folders


    Cannot SAVE TO "desktop" or "recent places" for browser downloads OR even local docs e.g. save notepad to desktop.

    There's no need to bump posts - that's a sure way to make sure you get ignored. You don't pay for the advice you get here, so show a little gratitude and be a bit patient.

    To your issue : what error message do you get when you try to save to desktop?

    Hey Golden. Thanks for responding. No error messages involved. When u click 'save to' those 2 locations (Desktop & recent places) are no longer destination options. They just don't appear in the 'right click & save to a location' list.

    That sounds to me like a context menu issue. I'll ask Brink to have a look at it since he understands it better.

    Hello AaLF,

    If this is happening in the common file dialog box, then the tutorial below may be able to help to add them back.

    Common File Dialog Box - Customize Places Bar

    If this is not it, then please post some screenshots showing what you are seeing to see if it may better help to ID the issue. :)
