    desktop colors and icon spacing

Finally found it, but having difficulty. Went to Personalization/Color/Advance and changed some colors and icon spacing, etc. Saved. But doesn't seem to change. For instance, the application border is still grey, I specified red. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried selecting an Aero theme in Personalization to benefit from Win7's elegant Aero graphics, perhaps choose a Slideshown theme or add your own via the Backgrounds link there?

Once you have the look you want, then you can hold Cntrl button and use the mouse wheel or + or - keys to adjust the Icons spacing and size.

I'm ok on icon spacing, etc, but the color changes did not take effect (borders, etc.) I did "save changes".
