    Windows 7 > To > Windows 10

so im thinking of waiting on later on in the year before upgrading to windows 10 on this specific PC...

but the thing im wondering is... im going to put the windows 10 installation on a memory stick.. reformat my HDD and do a fresh install of windows 10..

however will i be able to use the windows 10 installing multiple times ? or is it just a one time thing! cause im in the middle of collecting parts for building a PC ATM and should be done hopefully early next year... however im unsure if il be able to re-use the windows 10 copy that i got from this computer on my new PC....

so is it reusable or will i need to get either windows 7 or buy windows 8.1 to then upgrade my new PC to windows 10 ?

If fully updated with a new oem of win-7-8.1 you'll receive the same notification options as now
    Cheers.

also just wondering the PC im on is a HP PC... what will happen (or need to do) to install windows 10 on this PC

cause my friend is telling me it will update my current windows 7 serial to a windows 10 one and when i reformat that il get to install windows 10 ?

might be kinda hard for me considering i cant re-format my HDD completely cause there are security restrictions in place... i can start over and install the OEM OS that came on it... but i yeah as you can tell i really dont know how this will work

you`ll need windows 7 or 8.1 on the machine to update (not gonna say upgrade) to windows 10.

No one is sure yet if you`ll have to buy windows 10 if you want to do a clean install.

Let`s just wait and see what happens.

In the mean time, keep enjoying Windows 7

    Hi,
Before you do anything I'd look into this,
    Imaging with free Macrium

Sounds like you do not have win-7 re-install media

System restore in windows is very unreliable especially with an entire windows version at risk of loss.
Ask on the above tutorial if you have any questions about creating a system image
    Cheers.

Look at this possibly this is what your referring to
ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File - Windows 10 Forums

As long as you switch to win-10 before the 1 year expires I suppose so only M$ knows that.
