I don't think so, unless you have disabled some MS services ???
I don't think so, unless you have disabled some MS services ???
I don't know if I have or not. How would I check?
The only way i know of is to manually check - a tedious difficult job imho...
Brink has a list of the MS services and their default settings in this tutorial:
Services - Restore Default Services in Windows 7
Would it possibly be application management?
No, that's a manual startup by default.
It's not running for me, and my GWX tasks run.
Well, I don't see any GWX tasks listed. I don't know what to do.
I thought earlier you said you had the GWX scheduled tasks, and they wouldn't run for you
No, they wouldn't run in the GWX folder under System 32.
I read a forum on the Microsoft Community forums, and they said to copy a command in notepad and then run that command in command prompt. They said if it goes through an infinite loop, then I don't have all of the required updates installed.
Why are you so worried about this ?
If you have the updates installed, don`t worry about it, the icon might show up today, tomorrow or next week. Don`t worry about it.
