    appinfo service disabled by mistake

    Windows 7 64

application information service (appinfo) service was disabled by mistake and I can no longer access services, or start programs that require admin rights

I also cannot boot into safemode, and thats another matter

is there anyway to enable appinfo, either set it to start manually or automatically, without admin rights?

if not, is there away to disable admin rights requirement, without having admin rights
    thanks

I guess this is the case TechFilth: Uh Oh - don't stop the Application Information service!?

Unfortunately, solution lies in Safe Mode in that page.

    However, you can try:
    - Download Offline Password Reset & Registry Editor Offline Windows Password & Registry Editor
    - Create the bootable media and boot with it
    - Browse to registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Appinfo
    - Change Start to 3

As far as I can see:
    Automatic - 2
    Manual - 3
    Disabled - 4
Couldn't find where delayed start is set.
