Hello Joseph mate I take it this is not your main machine or at all? The Dell site as always not helpful but I would suggest downloading and installing the driver for the graphics from Intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/sea...+graphics+4000
I always use manufacturers site rather than the Windows feature because I am not so sure it is that reliable. Now you might get a message that says the download is older than what is installed and in that case leave it.

hi there thanks for the info yep i just bought this machine its second hand but realy clean though.i had to sell on the toshiba was 2 old for me and slow getting lol.yea this dell came with a smaller hdd so i took out my 500gb hdd from my toshiba and put it into this dell.great job it is new fresh windows on it but got only this small glitch is all not sure why i get it.i also bought myself a wee dell chromebook 11 also and thats class 2 one of my best buys handy light and fast to do things.but the slim adapter thet came with my chromebook on the website spec works on my dell latltude e6430 also so thats what im using one charger for the 2.im not sure if its the charger thats causing this small fault but its weard as its a genuine dell charger and supposed to fit this latitude also its a slim ac charger.i used the genuine dell site for the drivers but all i installed drivers wise was the wifi ones which i copied my windows over to my hdd.as didnt want to lose anything i moved over the original dell wifi drivers from that i saved and all worked well.the windows install did the rest of whatever it needed.

Humm so if I have it right the adaptor for the Chromebook is being used on the larger machine? Now it could jut possibly be the volts are the same just the current supply not coping that larger machine even for just a few milliseconds.

Ok mate can you send me the specs on a) the adaptor - volts and current ratings and the larger machine.

I think Gokhan has already pointed you in that direction but I am just checking the minimum requirements.

this is the one im using for both it came with my chromebook

Dell Slim Power Adapter - 65 Watt : Computer Accessories | Dell

if you scrole down u will see it fits my latitude e6430.

but the adaptor i got fot this e6430 wont fit my chromebook.
also here is another thing about these slim adapters they get really warm hot to the touch.be intresting 2 see how long it lasts because my adaptors always break and hardly last one year

For the second part: you need to enable ahci drivers in registry before changing to AHCI in BIOS. When clean installing those drivers are auto-enabled.

AHCI : Enable in Windows 7 / Vista

For wireless, you may have to press some Fn key combo to enable it.
