What program do you use for "The music center", is it Windows Media Center ?
Here is a link that should help if you are using Windows Media Center.
Listen to music in Windows Media Center - Windows Help

The media programs i've used have playlists, allow configuring where to find media files, etc.

Export all music, album art, dvds to ext hd

I use the program JRiver music center 19. The reason I use it over windows is it offers many different file types for ripping cd's. I use "flac" which windows does not have.

JRivers has a very helpful forum, a lot of members and JR employees are willing to help.
I have JRivers, and i always found great help and support on their forum.
I have an older JR version, so I can't help with your question, but i would look here:

JRivers Media Center forum
JRiver Media Center 20 for Windows

INTERACT FORUM - Index

imho JR is the most "capable" media player i know of, but it does have a user learning curve.

It's that long learning curve that nearly got me banned from their forum when I bought it and couldn't make it work. I posted my current question on their forum this morning and still have no responses. I'm on my own.

Thanks

I looked on the current JR Media Center forum and couldn't find your thread...so i can't comment about it.
If you don't want to post a link to your thread here, can you PM/VM me the link, and I'll look at it.
Maybe things have changed with their support forum, but i'd like to read the thread ...

It was posted yesterday at 1:26pm by dunkinidaho. Posted in the windows--old versions--media center 19 for windows--about 14 rows down. Jim the administrator posted a curt responce. He's the person who was close to banning me from the forum. It really was my fault for some choice words I had for the group who designed the program, which I found extremely difficult to use. It doesn't matter what his response is to my post now as I have moved the library to an external HD and freed up the space I was hoping to do. I have another issue now which I will post in a new thread.

thanks

Export / Transfer WMC7 Music Playlist
I would like to export or copy over a WMC7 (Not Media Player) music playlist from a Win7 PC to another Win7 PC. Both of them will have same file structure for location of MP3's on each. Can this be done? If not, is there a freeware program that will export just this and nothing else? Thank you.

How to shift all free space on hard disk to get contigous free space?
My NTFS non-system partition is now almost well defragmented. However this applies only to small and medium sized files. There are still approx 40 big files (> 1 GB) which cannot be defragmented because there is no free single (!) space slot where they fit in. So I need a way to shift all...
