I disabled the services that you stated, and when I opened a CMD prompt and pasted those lines, nothing happened, it was not recognized. So, all in all, still have a slow computer.

Looking for a stand-alone RSS reader.
I have been using gdRSS but it only works in Google desktop. For a number of reasons I don't want to run Google Desktop. There seem to be plenty of browser based readers but I want a standalone app that will run in its own window on the desktop. I want to specify which feeds I want to follow....
