Pc doesnt even turn on what am i doing wrong?

    Hi

Build this system and it doesn't even turn on.

I see a quick flash of light then nothing happens.

I have connected the atx connector to motherboard to so it is strange to not turn on.

I dont see no small switch on the msi z97 gaming 5 board to where i can flick it to turn the motherboard on.

I spent many hours on this system and it doesn't even turn on.

    I7 4790k
    Msi Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard
    G Skill Ram 8gb
    H60 Corsair Cooler
    Cx600 Powersupply

    Any ideas would be greatful!

Did you recently connect the power supply to the motherboard? The reason I ask is that I have the same Corsair CX600. When I installed it, it was very hard to get the 24-pin connector to snap to the motherboard. You should have a definite click when it connects. The Power Supply not being connected correctly can cause the very problem you are having. I could not get mine to connect and decided to buy this StarTech.com 24 Pin ATX 2.01 Power Extension Cable - power extension cable - ATX24POWEXT - Power and Y Splitter Cables - CDW.com The white plastic on the extension is very slick and it fits on the Power Supply very easy and the other end just slides on the motherboard. It is well worth the money if you think this might be your problem

But it's not happened at all so far.

    Help pls.

What is that wire up in the top left hand corner that`s bent back, is the 8 pin cpu connector plugged in properly using all 8 pins ?

Maybe the connection isn't perfect and that is why it does not turn on.

It took so much force to push the power supply 24pin connector into the motherboard 24 pin female connector. Still didn't give me a good feeling that it went well even tho it seems to be connected.
