"Open With" default program is broken,& I don't know how to change it?

Hello, new to the forums here. You all seem very nice <3

So I've set .html files to open with a text editor called Geany. Recently I've moved the installation directory for Geany from C:\Program Files to E:\Stuff\Programs, because my disc space on C was filling up.

Now, the right click menu for everything that used to open in Geany is broken. See the screenshot "issue1.png". When I click on it, it opens the same "choose program to open with" dialog that you get when you right click > Open with ... > Choose default program, see issue2.png.

Now the problem is that, even if I pick "Always use this program to open the selected type of file", the right-click menu is NOT updated. So I can't use right click - Open with geany, I have to go through the submenus first. And I can't find a way to update the path to the executable

All Google's telling me is how to change it to a different program, or change the file types the program opens. But I need to change the path to the program itself and have it update on the right-click menu.

(Oh, and I don't think Geany itself is at fault, but the problem is me moving it and Windows can't figure out where it went).

So if anyone knows how to update this, through the registry or whatnot, I'd be so happy if you would let me know :)

Edit - Where did my attachments go?

    Welcome to Seven forums quat........
Just an FYI, you can't just move the program. You have to uninstall it and then re install it changing the path in the install to E:Program Files\whatever the name of the program is Just moving it has screwed it up for you. So move it back, uninstall and reinstall it.

@mitchell65 - I thought I did that... Maybe something went wrong somewhere, I don't know. But I'll do that next time
