Hello Whyess, and welcome to Seven Forums.

That would be for the "C:\Users\(user-name)\Desktop" folder that will only have what's on your actual desktop.

If you like, you can type shell:desktop in the address bar and press Enter to open the desktop shell folder that will have the default icons included.

In addition, you can add any default icons to your desktop.

    Hope this helps, :)

Hi Thank you, however the problem isn't in the desktop icons, in the desktop everything is displaying fine, i even tried the steps in the above link including removing default desktop icons and reading them as well as hitting the "restore default" button

the problem is the shortcuts are gone as it's not displaying the words "My" before the folder name
and being that there are no shortcuts i can't change the icon back to the default, also the eg:, contacts and Music.ini file matches the default ini file attached in another post User Folders - Restore Default Icon
please explain how to get the default shortcuts with their icons back, without displaying the actual folder names as in the filepath please, thank you

here's the desktop icons as they are displaying fine

You'll see the "My" when you have your %UserProfile% folder open.

Favorites are stored in the folder below. If you haven't already, you should be able to create new shortcuts of the folders you want in the location below to add them back.
