    Cannot get 'additional log on required' flag


    We are at a Charter Internet provided RV park and the internet requires a password that is accessed through the 'additional log on' pop up and/or opening browser that should then open the sign-on...neither is now happening on my 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium Toshiba laptop. The wireless will sign on to the system and then it will show no internet access but after a short period that warning goes away and it says internet access...but I cannot access the internet. For the first couple weeks that we were here, I was getting the pop-up and clicking it opened my browser and the sign up sheet appeared...than it just stopped. I have gone in an checked the active search registry is at '1' the way it should be...I have flushed the dns and run all my anti-virus and anti-spy ware programs...and nothing changes...I cannot get to the net...HELP!

    What happens if I just open browser


    If I just open the browser (Pale Moon, Firefox, Chrome...have tried all 3)...it thinks for a bit and I can't find server and webpage cannot be opened errors...at the same time I have the internet access icon.

When I install KB2446708 I get after the system start the popup "Additional log on information may be required". I uninstalled it and it seems to be gone. What is this good for and how can I avoid it when this fix is installed?
