should i install windows 7 in my laptop, i am asking this because i am having problems in my windows 8.1 and my laptop is lenovo Z510 i7 which comes with preinstalled windows 8.1.

Why don`t you just reinstal 8.1 ?
Use your Recovery partition.
Of course it`s safe to install 7, 2 things you`ll most likely have to do.
1) Disable secure boot in the bios.
2) Convert the hard drive from GPT to MBR.
because i don't like windows 8.1.

yes,8 is terrible ,but i have 8.1 in my laptop which is same rather than the start up icon and some UI changes.
i also want to install windows 7 because in 8.1 i am having a windows update problem error code-(in the attachment).
i spent 2 days to find a solution for that but nothing solved it.with no updates i cannot even download windows 10
