    @Callender

When you see **** that in a website link, that means the forum owner or Administrator has blocked link to that website.

That would explain the odd characters in both posts,

Someone purposely put the "xx" in those links, probably because they are direct downloads.

The ***** are filters put in because of abuse or spam or other reasons deemed necessary.

I'm using both Win 7 and Win 10. I like them both. For me, Win 7 is like first love, while Win 10 is current GF. :)

    Spot on.

xx was to avoid users clicking on the link and initiating a download. I removed the other link as it seems that there are reasons not to post links to that website!

    I used Win 95 until 2004.
    I used XP until 2012.
I've only had Win 7 for 3 years.
I plan on using 7 until its EOL in 2020 or I get a motherboard that does not support it, whichever comes first.
I pay good money for a full OS install disc and I expect to get every last ounce of use out of it.
So long as Windows 7 works on my hardware, I see no reason to "upgrade".
Let the early adopters be the beta testers and guinea pigs. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I've decided to stay with Windows 7. Big Brother (aka Microsoft) is one good reason to avoid Win10. I also don't care for the user interface. Lots of little things that I dislike.

Questions I think one should ask.
These are the question I ask myself.

    1. What will Windows 10 do that Windows 7 won't do?
    2. What options does Windows 10 have that Windows 7 doesn't have?
    3. Does one want or need those added options?
    4. What user control does one loose with Windows 10 such as Windows Updates; maybe more.
    5. Does one have the reasonable internet that will allow downloading Windows 10.
    6. Can one buy Windows 10 DVD from Microsoft through a legal Retailer?
    7. Forget the free version. Is Windows 10 worth buying?
Thank you for this. I actually found your thread because it was referenced by PC WORLD.

I reserved but still haven't done it because I am one of many Win 7 users hesitant as well as suspicious of MS REAL intentions with offering this for free.
