I am probably going to have to do a clean (new) download of windows 7. However I have most of it backed up on my external hard drive! How do I download that information and files to my computer after I reset it??????
How did you backup the files there? Did you just copy the files and folders there or did you use a backup program to do it.
Anyway, you connect the external drive then use Windows Explorer or My Computer to navigate to the external drive, find the files and folders you want then copy them from the external top the location you want them to go on the boot drive.
Remember, you will only be able to copy data, not installed programs. They will have to be reinstalled.
