Cannot restore system, computer in severe trouble

I think I might have deleted something I shouldn't have from registry editor and now the desktop is gone, replaced by an empty black screen. There are no desktop icons and the Task Bar is gone. I am only able to access the internet and write this because of Task manager. I want to do a system restore but there is no Charm Bar and the Control Panel refuses to open. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to our forum gooeylouie.

I have no idea what a charm bar is.

Try using the Start Orb off the taskbar or use the Windows Flag key on the keyboard and type in Restore. See if that will lead you to the option to do a Restore.

Do you have a Windows 7 DVD?

What is your reason for deleting things from the registry?

The Task Bar is gone too.

I tried the Windows Flag Key, but nothing comes up.

Some malware had gotten onto my PC, so I used Spyhunter to locate the files and delete them using registry editor.

I have never used SpyHunter or have I noticed any post about it.
So we really don't know what you have deleted. Obviously some things that shouldn't have been deleted.

At this point you could do a Repair Install using this tutorial by Brink.

Once that is completed let us know and we can recommend some other security scans/programs to verify your system is clean.

If for what ever reason you can't do a Repair install let us know and the reason.
